Thomas Warming is an illustrator of Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Matte Painting & Concept Design for Film / Computer Games, Children's Books, Graphic Novels & Advertising.
Warming was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, earning the title of Art Director at the age of 25. In 1993 he founded Warming Illustration and worked alongside a group of renowned artists in a Copenhagen studio for 14 years. During this period, Thomas produced a range of artistic works including children’s books, advertising, magazine illustrations, board games & computer games. His clients include Lego, Mattel, Microsoft, Cartoon Network. In publishing, Warming has illustrated 18 published books and covers.
He taught Storyboarding and Sequential Art for 10 consecutive years at the Art Department of the Copenhagen Technical College. However, most recently, Warming worked as Lead Concept Designer for a 3-D animated feature film and wrote several TV pilots.
Thomas works in many different styles and mediums, most preferring acrylic paint for analog illustration and Photoshop CS5 for digital illustration.
Thomas Warming now lives in Brooklyn, New York.
