Carolyn Ridsdale

Carolyn is an Australian artist who began making her distinctive photographic collages in 1994, at the moment she divides her time between Amsterdam and Sydney. 

Carolyn is well known for bringing a humorous twist to even the driest of subjects and for both illuminating and illustrating the text with her original and intelligent insights. To create her images, Carolyn takes elements from the printed matter around us, re-arranges these elements and feeds them back into the same medium, giving a constant contemporary feel.

Her clients include Saatchi and Saatchi, Heineken, the Financial Times (Holland), the Belgian government, Telecom, KLM, Nuon, Readers Digest as well as numerous Dutch magazines and newspapers. Carolyn is currently working on a series of school book covers for Noordhoff which will be distributed to primary schools all over the Netherlands.
