Liane Wilcher
I have an interior design and theatre background and have always been fascinated with 3D space and perspective. My illustrations are drawn freehand on computer so that I maintain a 'hand-drawn' look. Once I have worked out the line work and structure of the piece, I then work on the detail and stylisation. The everyday and my surroundings provide much of my creative inspiration.
I have worked both in Australia as well as London where I was given the opportunity to design the front cover for 'London Illustrated News' and had a feature article published in 'Computer Arts' magazine. While in London I also took the opportunity to exhibit my work in a gallery cafe.
As an extension of my illustration work, I visualise and design concepts for events by using existing interiors and embellishing the environment theatrically. In the future I intend to continue to develop my illustrative style using pencil sketches and the computer with the aim of having another exhibition.
